Bu araştırmada, Türkçenin yabancı dil olarak öğretiminde şarkı kullanımının öğrencinin akademik başarısına ve söz varlığını geliştirmedeki etkisini saptamak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi Türkçe Öğretim Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezinde öğrenim gören yabancı uyruklu 36 kişilik bir çalışma grubuna araştırmanın verilerini oluşturan bir uygulama gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama sürecinde, araştırmacı tarafından uzman görüşlerinin de dikkate alınarak seçildiği iki Türkçe şarkıya yönelik boşluk doldurma, bulmaca ve sözcük listesi oluşturmadan oluşan beş etkinlik tasarlanmıştır. Çalışma grubu homojen bir şekilde kontrol ve deney grubu olarak ikiye ayrılmış, tasarlanan etkinliklerde yer alan sözcükler kontrol grubuna düz anlatım yoluyla; deney grubuna ise şarkılar eşliğinde öğretilmeye çalışılmıştır. Etkinliklerin bitiminde deney grubuna araştırmacı tarafından uygulamayı faydalı bulup bulmadıklarına ilişkin bir soru yöneltilmiş ve öğrencilerin bu soruya verdikleri yanıtlar ışığında araştırmaya ilişkin değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Karma araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı araştırmada, araştırmanın nicel verileri karşılaştırmalı eşitlenmiş gruplar son test modeli ile nitel verileri ise yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile ortaya konmuştur. Elde edilen nicel veriler SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 22.0 paket programı aracılığıyla bağımlı örneklemler için t-testi ile betimlenmiş; nitel veriler ise içerik analizi yöntemi ile yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, şarkı kullanımının çalışma grubunu oluşturan yabancı öğrencilerin söz varlığını geliştirdiği bunun yanı sıra yabancı dil öğretiminde şarkı kullanımını faydalı buldukları ve Türk müziğine olan ilgilerinin arttığı görülmüştür.
In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of the use of song in teaching Turkish as a foreign language on the student's academic success and improving the existence of words. Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University Turkish teaching practice and Research Center for this purpose, a study group of 36 foreign citizens studying in the study of the data of the study was carried out. During the data collection process, five activities were designed, consisting of filling gaps, puzzles and creating a list of words for two Turkish songs, which were selected by the researcher taking into account expert opinions. The Working Group was homogeneously divided into control and experimental group, and the words in the designed activities were taught to the control group through direct expression and to the experimental group with songs. At the end of the activities, the experimental group was asked a question by the researcher about whether they found the application useful, and the research was evaluated in light of the students ' responses to this question. In a study using the mixed research method, the quantitative data of the study was revealed by the comparative equalized groups final test model, and the qualitative data was revealed by the semi-structured interview technique. The quantitative data obtained were described by the T-test for dependent samples through the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 22.0 package program, while the qualitative data were interpreted by the content analysis method. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the use of songs improved the presence of words of foreign students who made up the working group, as well as that they found the use of songs useful in teaching foreign languages and increased their interest in Turkish music.
