Abstract


THE EFFECT OF TECHNOLOGY SUPPORTED TEACHING AND TRADITIONAL TEACHING METHOD IN TURKISH TEACHER TRAINERS
This study aims to determine the effect of technology supported education and traditional teaching method in Turkish teacher candidates' feedback. The study was applied with a static group comparative pattern. In 2016-2017 academic year, students of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish Teaching, 3rd Class students were studied with experiment group (25) and control group (30). "Technology Perception Scale, Computer Proficiency Scale and Feedback Determination Levels Test (Tınmaz, 2004)" and "Text writing form and Feedback evaluation rubric" developed by the researcher were used as data collection tools. Mann Whitney U test in the comparison of descriptive statistics (f,% and arithmetic mean) and feedback levels (format, content, text type, language and style) in the analysis of the data; Independent sample t test analysis was used to determine the computer proficiency levels and perceptions about the computer. The traditional and technological notifications given by the experimental and control groups after the training they received were analyzed in terms of variables such as gender, class, text type and statistically compared with various analysis methods. As a result of the data obtained, it was determined that the pre-service teachers' computer competencies are at a medium level.There is no significant difference between their perceptions of technology use.
